WhatsApp, which is owned by Meta, is reportedly releasing a new “side-by-side” feature for Android tablets to select beta testers.
This feature, according to WABetaInfo, will enable users to switch between conversations without losing track of their ongoing chats, giving Android tablet users more control over the WhatsApp interface.
Users can also disable the side-by-side view by toggling the corresponding option in — WhatsApp Settings > Chats.
The side-by-side view can result in a smaller area for each conversation, particularly on devices with smaller displays.
Users can disable the side-by-side view on the app in order to have a larger interface for conversations.
This would enable them to have a more expansive and immersive experience while speaking with family and friends on the platform.
In addition, the report stated that the feature will be made available to even more users in the coming days.
Meanwhile, WhatsApp has announced that its multi-device authentication feature will allow users to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple phones.
The phone can now be paired with up to four additional devices.
The company announced that this update has begun rolling out to consumers worldwide and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.
