Jaguar Land Rover, which is owned by Tata Motors and announced the partnership on Tuesday, is speeding up its digital transformation by working with Tata Technology.
As part of the collaboration, Tata Technologies will provide end-to-end integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to transform the manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, finance, and purchasing modules of Jaguar Land Rover. This will be accomplished by consolidating the data and knowledge of multiple departments into a single source.
The key production facilities of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) in the United Kingdom will be included in the first phase of the project. Afterward, the solutions will be spread to additional sites across the world.
In a statement, JLR Executive Director of Industrial Operations Barbara Bergmeier said that the partnership with Tata Technologies would make it possible for the company to “accelerate the transformation of our core ERP infrastructure.” This would allow the company to “deliver the efficiency and usability we require for the future and our transformation objectives.”
Warren Harris, the managing director, and chief executive officer of Tata Technologies, stated that the cooperation will assist JLR in developing vehicles that are creative and sustainable while also achieving faster time to market via the use of modern digital technology.
