Jorge Lorenzo, a three-time MotoGP World Champion, adores speed, so when he decided he wanted an SUV, he went to Lamborghini and placed an order for the new Urus S.
During a visit to the company’s headquarters and factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, the Spanish motorcyclist recently received delivery of his new Urus S. His special factory visit is part of the La Prime program, which allows clients to pick up their new car at the factory and receive a guided VIP tour of the production facilities and the renowned Lamborghini museum.
Lorenzo’s Urus S’s exterior is Nero Helene, while the interior is Nero Ade with Giallo Taurus yellow contrast stitching.
“Lamborghini is one of the most iconic automotive brands, especially in Italy,” Lorenzo said. “It is the most outlandish sports car that can be purchased. I desired a genuine sports car that was also stealthy, and I believe the Urus S has everything. The engine is incredibly potent and the performance is extraordinary. However, the Urus also offers comfort and security. You have everything, correct? It is genuinely multipurpose.”
The Urus S was introduced by Lamborghini in September of last year. It replaces the original Urus and employs the same 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, but it has been tuned to produce 657 horsepower and can reach 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in just 3.5 seconds. It features a revised front fascia and a bumper with a slightly simplified design.
Lamborghini’s designers also modified the rear bumper, and if consumers really want to make a statement, a carbon fiber hood and roof, as well as 22- and 23-inch wheels, are available as options.
