Recent revisions to Google’s productivity suite, including Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Docs, have been released. Google is adding emoji reactions to existing Google Docs comments. The feature seeks to provide users with a more creative and expressive means of commenting on document content. In addition, Google has implemented an improved tool finder at the top of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides to assist users in locating frequently used tools and features.
One of the new features of Google Sheets for Android is the ability to copy/paste or drag-and-drop images as over-grid images, as opposed to in-cell images. Using the context menu, users can also convert over-grid images into in-cell images. Moreover, the new drag-and-drop feature in Google Slides enables users to replace images faster.
For improved video conferencing, various Google Workspace editions can set Google Meet video resolution to 1080p.
Users of select Google Workspace editions can now set the video resolution of Google Meet to 1080p for an enhanced video conferencing experience. Google is also expanding the functionality of smart chips in Google Sheets, with YouTube chips now available to help users more efficiently manage YouTube content. Using the @ menu, users can insert multiple smart devices and text into a single cell.
Customers of Google Workspace Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Standard, Education Plus, The Teaching and Learning Upgrade, Education Fundamentals, Frontline, and Cloud Identity Premium now have access to a new Alert Center notification for Apple push certificates. Administrators of select editions of Google Workspace can now specify a time period after which Google Chat messages sent by their users will be automatically deleted. Google Meet live broadcasts for these editions now offer 1080p as a resolution option, up from 720p.
