We have heard that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s successor would have even greater aspirations in terms of performance, despite the fact that it has offered a significant improvement in efficiency. A well-known source of information has revealed that the next iteration of Qualcomm’s flagship platform will incorporate a new CPU design while also dramatically increasing clock rates.
It is stated that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has one prime Cortex-X4 CPU core operating at an astonishing 3.7 GHz, in addition to five powerful cores for performance and two tiny cores for efficiency.
New CPU clusters and a 3.7GHz prime core are coming to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
According to Digital Chat Station, the model number of the GPU will be Adreno 750, while the model number of the device itself will be SM8650. It is anticipated that TSMC would proceed with the fabrication of the chips, transitioning from the N4 node to the N4P node, which is still a 4nm process technology but offers a marginal improvement in productivity.
The manufacturing cycle is the reason TSMC is not opting for the 3nm process; N4P is excellent enough and relatively reasonable, and the factories in Taiwan are ready to begin mass production as soon as the trial is finished by phone companies.
