Today, PwC India announced the introduction of a new Cloud Technology Development Programme, a three-semester, 18-month credit course on Salesforce training for third-year computer engineering graduates and post-graduates (B.Tech and M.Tech students). The objective of the program is to prepare the next generation of students for the future by equipping them with digital-first economy-relevant skills. In the first phase of the Cloud Technology Development Plan, 500 students will be enrolled in five regional engineering schools.
The cooperation will incorporate industry-specific information into the curriculum and give students with opportunities to acquire future-relevant digital skills. Padmaja Alaganandan, Chief People Officer, PwC India, stated, “As we move toward a complex, dynamic, and tech-enabled future, the need for industry and academics to collaborate to include digital skills into the curriculum becomes more crucial than ever. Our long-term objective is to aid in the development of a robust tech talent pool and to strengthen the tech communities required to tackle critical challenges in India and throughout the world. Students will be able to acquire Salesforce skills through customized paths aligned to the National Occupational Standard as part of the curriculum (NOS).
The course will be a combination of in-class and online learning, with PwC specialists contributing 40 hours of teaching time throughout the course’s duration. Students will also have the option to receive a credential from PwC India, which will grant them industry-recognized digital and cloud competences upon graduation.
